Collier Jr., M.D., FAAFP is the Medical
Atlanta West Primary Care
Associates, Inc. and an Attending
Physician for the Morehouse School of
Medicine. He graduated from Morehouse
College in Atlanta, Georgia and received his
medical degree from the Medical College
of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Collier has
additional training in Sports Medicine. During the
1996 Olympics, he served as the Chief Venue Medical Officer
for Basketball at the Morehouse Arena and Georgia Dome
In 1997 he was appointed the
Chief Ring Physician for the state of
Georgia by the
Georgia Boxing Commissioner. He served as
the ringside physician for the recent HBO Holyfield vs.
Bean heavy weight championship fight at the Georgia Dome
and the recent Layla Ali championship fight in Atlanta. Dr.
Collier has served as President of the Georgia Academy of Family
Physicians, President of the Atlanta Medical Association and
President of the 100 Black Men of America, South Metro
Chapter. Atlanta West Primary Care
Associates, Inc. is a comprehensive Medical
Practice that provides on-site x-ray, and laboratory services.
Dr. Collier also performs minor surgical procedures on-site.
Dr. Collier serves as the
on-the-air personality and host/producer of
the Your Health is Important radio talk show that
airs on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. on WYZE 1480 AM in Atlanta,
Medically Speaking, Inc.
